The archetypal high quality touring tire. The highly elastic GreenGuard layer is 3 mm thick. One third of the GreenGuard is made up of recycled latex products. The “Anti-Aging” sidewall can withstand the typical cracking that results from overloading due to insufficient inflation pressure for much longer.
E-Bike Ready. You can choose every Marathon for your E-Bike (E-25). The main sizes are approved and tested for E-bikes up to 50 km/h (E-50).
GreenGuard®
The flexible rubber on a 67 EPI carcass is used for the classic Marathon, the Energizer-models and several other high-quality touring tires.
Recycling
Old products made of natural rubber (such as gloves, tubes...) are crumbed and, over several procedural steps, used as base material in the puncture protection system.
E-Bike ready 25
In standard pedelecs that have motor assist up to 25 km/h, there is no legal requirement for a special tire. But even with these bikes, loads and average speeds are higher than in regular bikes, therefore we recommend only certain tires as “E-Bike Ready 25”.
Ebike ready 50
Special tires are necessary for fast E-bikes. The best solution is tires with ECE-R75 certification, valid throughout Europe.
